Laurie & Victor’s Spanish-Belgian Wedding in Ibiza.
This wedding was the greatest highlight of my 2015 Ibiza Summer. It was also so far one of the biggest weddings I worked on: over 250 guests!
Victor’s family lives in Ibiza while Laurie comes from Belgium. The couple is so young, so beautiful and so in love!!!!
I handled the groom preparation photo shoot while my colleague Tamas shot the bride’s preparation. We then moved to a marvelous ceremony at the Santa Eulalia Church, Iglesia del Puig de Missa. Although the church is quite big it was overflowing with the Spanish-Belgium crowd.
After a post-ceremony reception with delightful snacks & drinks we all drove to Atzaro: the famous agroturismo hotel, spa, restaurant and one of the most popular wedding venues on the island.
The guests had so much fun with the activities organized there. Two artists provided funny portraits and caricatures. An amazing photo booth with a flowery background was constructed for polaroids and photos. A live sax played chill-out music and jazz. Also, there were amazingly tasty sushi snacks and lots of sangria! 🙂
Following the reception was an amazing dinner. During the meal we enjoyed some great Belgian and Spanish music, and all the guests started dancing (some on the chairs) and singing!
After cutting the wedding cake the real fun began. A live band and DJ entertained and everyone had such a great time!
Just before sunset we fit in a private photo shoot, just Támas and I and the couple. We shoot around Atzaro with an amazing light that helped me capture some of the most magic wedding photographs for Laurie and Victor.
The celebration continued. We enjoyed a fantastic Ibiza-style fire show and the guests danced into the night … 🙂
I wish Laurie and Victor all the best! I am sure, surrounded by so many loving relatives and friends, they will have a wonderful life together!
