“La Dolce Vita” wedding in Ibiza

A Beautiful Serbian-Italian Ibiza Wedding.

Last Summer I met with my friend, Tamas, and he asked me to be a second photographer at a very special wedding. He told me, “You have to do it! These are really beautiful people and you’ll make fantastic pictures!” We had a laugh and I said yes.

We met the couple, Gianmarco and Jelena, and indeed they do make a stunning couple. They are from Italy, but they are truly citizens of the world with an incredible sense of style, humor, art and fashion.

On the Big Day I started with the Groom’s Preparation shoot and from the very beginning, I could tell this would be an exceptional event full of fun, beauty and lots of champagne!

At the ceremony, Jelena wore an amazing Cinderella dress (that looked absolutely perfect inside the old church) and Gianmarco donned crocodile yellow shoes, which of course highlighted his distinctly Italian sense of fashion.

After an incredible ceremony in the Church of Jesús, we went to Pacha’s Destino Resort for a dinner party with an international crowd of around 120 guests. Everybody was so happy and nice.

The meal smoothly transitioned into a cocktail party, which then exploded into a wild dance party! Some mesmerizing fire performances accompanied the dancing and were followed by a fantastic acrobat show. To top it off they then carted out the biggest cake I have ever seen at an Ibiza wedding!

After this outdoor party, the guests moved into a small “underground” disco area, and the Real party began….

The day following the wedding the four us (Gianmarco, Jelena, Tamas and I) had a full-day Love Story photo session. We started on the cliffs in Talamanca, wound through the majestic streets of Dalt Vila (Old City), and finished with a perfect sunset overlooking Es Vedra. It was a great way to create some romantic photos, away from the stress that sometimes accompanies a wedding day….

I feel very privileged to have been a part of this friendly couple’s Ibiza wedding. I hope one day to again photograph them and their family in Ibiza!
